Who we are

LIGA Skill Development Academy is a pioneering training academy dedicated to empowering Sri Lankan skilled workers who want to build successful careers overseas. We are not a technical college: our work is industry-focused, trade-specific training that turns the experience you already have into practical expertise you can demonstrate.

Everything we do — the training week, the assessments, the certification, the accommodation while you are with us — exists to strengthen your skills, build your confidence, and prepare you for the interviews and assessments an overseas employer will put in front of you.

What makes the academy different

Most short courses hand you a certificate and wish you luck. We train for the trade you are actually going to work in — hands-on, in Sinhala or English, with an assessment at the end that shows what you can do. You leave with sharper skills, recognised certification, and the confidence to prove both.

The trades we currently train

Our centre

We run one training centre. Courses take batches of up to 50 trainees, and accommodation and transport are arranged for your training week so candidates from any district can attend.
